Last Day for Statewide Voter Registration

Voter registration will take place at more than a dozen locations in L.A. Monday.

Monday is the last day to register in California to vote in the upcoming Nov. 6 election. Staffers from the Los Angeles County Registrar will be manning tables at more than a dozen locations to encourage residents to register.

According to the L.A. County Clerk's office, there are more than 3 million eligible voters in the county that have still not registered. Anyone who has recently moved to California or changed his or her name needs to re-register within the state.

"It's really important that everyone, especially college students, get out and vote," University of Southern California senior Marissa Fine said. "The decisions made in this election will be affecting all of us when we graduate and try to find jobs."

The registration site closest to the USC campus is at the NALEO Educational Fund at 1122 W. Washington Boulevard. The site will begin registration at 5 p.m. and close at 11 p.m.
