Pepper Spray Released at Narbonne High School

About two dozen people at Narbonne High School were exposed to pepper spray on Thursday morning.

Forty-seven people at Narbonne High School have been examined by the Los Angeles Fire Department for injuries after exposure to pepper spray Thursday morning.

LAFD checked for minor respiratory and eye irritation following the exposure. One 16-year-old student who suffered from lingering respiratory irritation was taken to the hospital.

According to Brian Humphrey of LAFD, firefighters were called to the school at about 10:20 a.m. It is unclear if the release of pepper spray was intentional or accidental.
