What to Watch in the Vice Presidential Debate
Joe Biden and Paul Ryan will be face to face during the first Vice Presidential debate that will air live Thursday at 6 p.m. on most major news channels. With Biden's and Ryan's tendency to gaffe, and the closeness of the race, this debate will be an important reflection on the coming Presidential election.
One thing to watch out for tonight will be Biden's offense in order to make up for President Obama's poor showing in the Presidential debate last week. Obama said he has full faith in Biden and that "Joe just has to be Joe," in the debate.
While the 42-year-old Ryan has less experience in debates than the 69-year-old Biden, Ryan is expected to be a fierce competitor. Voters should watch out on how well Ryan debuts on the debate stage and defends his stance on controversial topics.
The public will also be watching how well moderator Martha Raddatz can keep control of the candidates. After Jim Lehrer's poor performance during the Presidential debates, Raddatz, who used to be a war correspondent for ABC News, said she is prepared for the candidates.
