In the last episode of Behind the Face Mask we spotlighted senior center Abe Markowitz. Markowitz is a proud member of the USC Hawaii Club, and talks about how that has helped him stay connected with his culture.

Growing up in a variety of places he calls Hawaii home, and tells us about the many players he looked up to, including his distant cousins, former Trojans and current NFL linebackers, Rey Maualuga and Kaluka Maiava.

Markowitz talks about earning his scholarship after walking on, getting the starting position and dealing with the trials and turbulences of college football. Markowitz even competes on the USC Track team and has dreams of one day competing in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio De Janiero in Brazil.

With so much on his plate, no wonder Markowitz is applying to stay at USC for another year. To hear more about him fighint on to play one more year, click here.
