Eric Eats: Pink's Hot Dog Still Strong After 74 Years

The chain serves up thousands of hot dogs a day.

After seven decades since it first opened, Pink’s Hot Dogs is still a Los Angeles icon.

The chain manages to serve more than two thousand dogs a day.

The Hollywood location is known for attracting celebrity diners as well as appearing in shows such as 90210, Hell’s Kitchen, Mulholland Drive, and Nip/Tuck.

“The service has always been great. I love the hot dogs. There isn’t another place in LA that’s like it,” Dionte Smith, a customer remarked.

On weekdays Pink’s opens at 9:30 am, and the chain stays open until 3 am on weekends.

Despite its late closing time, Gloria Pink, co-owner of the chain, says, “We are very busy, believe it or not, from midnight to 3 AM. Everyone says after midnight, Pink’s is a party.”
