USC Email Malfunction Frustrates Students
The USC community is frustrated with the school's email service Tuesday, which is experiencing what Information Technology Services is calling "email performance issues."
ITS released a statement Tuesday morning that said they are working to resolve the issue.
When ATVN reached out to ITS for comments, the representative said that she has received many phone calls from frustrated students and doesn't know when it will be up and running again. She insisted that they are, "doing everything possible."
Kayla Henry, junior, said she was able to gain access to her email after repeatedly refreshing the page, but some students don't think ITS is working fast enough.
"I use that as my primary email," said Nicole Jamal, junior. "I use it for networking and it's really frustrating to me, because I can't communicate with people that I need to reach."
Those that have converted their USC email to a Google Apps at USC email account aren't experiencing any problems at all.
"I never really found the USC email aesthetically pleasing, said Erin Besinque, senior. "It was just confusing to me and it's just always made more sense for me to use Gmail."
