USC Architecture School Receives Big Gift
The USC School of Architecture announced Wednesda it received a $500,000 pledge from architect and alum Warren Lortie '68, establishing a study abroad scholarship program.
The Thom Mayne Full Study Abroad Scholarship will pay all expenses for selected fourth- and fifth-year undergraduate architecture students to study abroad for a semester in the school's Global Studies Program.
The new program comes during the School of Architecture's 100th anniversary.
"USC Architecture is a more international program now, and the student body reflects that," Lortie said. "I'm hoping this scholarship is one more way to enhance the school's international identification and outlook."
