USC Law Professor Weighs in on NSA Allegations
USC law professor and digital privacy expert Jack Lerner said the U.S. needs to "reign in" its security policies to renew trust between the government and its citizens.
Professor Lerner's comments came just days after reports disclosed allegations that the U.S. was spying on as many as 35 world leaders.
Lerner said although the U.S. is not the only country guilty of espionage, it has a special responsibility to be transparent with the public.
He called the act of government cell-phone tapping and spying as "chilling" and "scary."
