Activist Groups Mark Day of Protest Against Police Brutality

The groups rallied to highlight the need for ending police violence.

Two local activist groups rallied Tuesday throughout the South L.A. area, to mark the 18th National Day of Protest to Stop Police Brutality, Repression and the Criminalization of a Generation.

Members and allies of the Youth Justice Coalition gathered at a Compton City Council meeting to demand that city officials take action to reduce violence in the community.

The Stop Mass Incarceration Network also held a march in South L.A. to bring awareness to the importance of stopping police violence.
