Men Plead 'Not Guilty' in Craigslist Murder

The two men are scheduled to return to court December 17th.

Two suspected gang members pleaded not guilty Tuesday to murder and other charges in the killing of a man who answered an ad for a phone on Craigslist.

Ryan Roth, 17, and Markell Thomas, 18, are on trial for the death of Rene Balbuena, 41. He was killed in front of his 15-year-old son when the two responded to a Craigslist ad on October 19th.

The two defendants are scheduled to return to court December 17th, when a date will be set for a hearing to determine if there is enough evidence for them to stand trial.

Ryan Roth's defense attorney, Mark McKinnis, says his client's rights have been violated.
