Monday Motivation: Tennis

From head to toe, tennis is the ultimate workout!

Many people play tennis as a competitive sport, but it can also be a fun workout. At the Calabasas Tennis and Swim Center, there are many members who step onto the court solo and practice using ball machines and backboards.

Tennis tests every part of your body.

"They want to improve their game a little bit, but they really want to get a good workout," said tennis director Jonas Willgard.

Tennis is one of the few sports that tests every part of the body. Swinging the racquet tones arms, whacking the ball engages abs, running back and forth on the court will shapes legs and improves reaction speed.

However, the most unique aspect of the sport is that there are tennis players of almost every age.

"It doesn't matter if it's a 3-year-old or an 83-year-old that wants to learn the game," said Willgard.
