Authorities Investigate UC Santa Barbara Gang Rape, Beating

Police are currently searching for two men accused of beating and raping a female student Saturday at the University of California Santa Barbara. Police say that the victim was able to return to her home in Isla Vista where she contacted the police.
UCSB student Doreen Govari said the incident does not make her feel any less safe, but serves as a reminder that students need to be cautious.
"Just be aware of your surroundings," said UCSB police. "If you see anything that you feel uncomfortable with, please don't hesitate to call 911."
