Toyota Recalls 1.9M Prius Models
The best-selling car in California will have to take a break from the road for a while after Toyota announced a recall of its Prius model Wednesday morning, citing a software problem that could make cars stall suddenly.
More than 1.9 million Prius models from 2010 to 2014 have been recalled.
Toyota sent out letters to Prius owners asking them to bring their car in for service to update the software system. The system update is free of charge and is supposed to take no more than an hour.
Mario Medina, who works for a downtown L.A. Toyota dealership, said that despite the recall, "customers are loyal to Toyota."
