Unemployed Residents Demand Accountability From Deloitte

The unemployed blamed the consulting firm for a computer system that "does not work."

Many unemployed Los Angeles residents protested in front of Deloitte in Downtown Tuesday demanding that the consulting firm take accountability for their part in a number of unemployment problems.

ATVN reached out to Deloitte for a comment but did not receive a response.

Members of the "Fix Unemployment Now!" campaign said the company mishandled the Employment Development Department's computer systems. They said these errors were also behind the department's problem with understaffing and training.

Some Frontline workers of the department supported the protest. They said they're frustrated that they are on their own to deal with problems that they did not create and do not know how to fix.
