Something's Buzzing at ATVN

ATVN's looking for anchors for "The Buzz," a new web/TV segment!

This year, ATVN will be adding an exciting position that will allow students to report on the top-trending topics for USC students. The anchor for "The Buzz," a minute-long web and broadcast segment will be responsible for producing two of these segments a day.

ATVN is looking for candidates who are hyper-aware of the news and feel comfortable mining the web, including social networks, for the most popular stories and identifiying the next big story. While the segment will be scripted, candidates should feel comfortable adlibbing and bantering. This is an ideal opportunity for people looking to get on-camera experience as well as producing and editing time.

Shooting and editing capabilities are a plus but not required. There will be training workshops for those not proficient in iNews, Adobe Premiere and other software/hardware. As an anchor for "The Buzz," you will be assigned to produce and host the segment one day of the on-air week (Mon - Thurs). Anchors must be available for a seven-hour  (12 p.m. - 7 p.m.) volunteer shift.

To audition for the position, come to the ATVN Sign-Up Day on Sept. 3, 2014, anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to sign up for an audition time. Auditions will be help Sept. 4 and Sept. 5.
