One step for man, one giant leap... inside of the Endeavour space shuttle!

Crew members at The California Science Center has begun work on what will be the country's most elaborate iteration of a space shuttle's original cargo bay.

Although the final exhibit will not be launched for another four years, The California Science Center opens up its Endeavour doors Monday October 13th for all who want to get an early look at the orbiter's previously closed doors.

Over the next few weeks, visitors will have the exclusive opportunity to get a first-hand look inside of the 3,000-pound portable space lab and storage space before they close on October 21st.
