Study Projects Hiring Will Increase for College Graduates in 2014-2015 School Year

Looks like it pays to get a college degree...literally.

Researchers at the Michigan State University's College Employment Research Institute have found that employers are recruiting new college graduates at near-record levels.

Of about 5,700 employers who responded, 84% hired at least one new college graduate during the 2013-2014 school year and 97% will do so this year.

Here at USC, David Ginchansky, Senior Career Counselor at the USC Career Center, says "we're seeing companies from various different types of industries showcase interest in connecting with students and finding opportunities."

The survey also found that, in total, employers will hire nearly 120,000 new graduates within the next 12 months to make for a "more chaotic" and a more fast-paced year.

Ginchansky has a few words of wisdom for students seeking employment in the video above.
