Bring Out the Mugs, it's Midterm Season at USC

We're in the middle of midterms, so we talked to students to see how their fashion choices and sleeping patterns are being affected.

Midterm season is upon us, and students all over campus are handling the stress in different ways. In general, midterms bring out the fatigue and stress in the student body. Some students are seen in sweatpants, with coffee cups in hand and bags under their eyes. But in order to survive the seemingly never-ending parade of tests and papers, students can often resort to extreme measures.

Parties in “Club Leavey,” also known as Leavey Library, all through the night are very common. Some students said they have stayed up until at least 3 a.m. studying the night before a big test. We went around campus to document the struggles of the modern day student, and found that beds lose all functionality during midterms. Some students seem to prefer the convenience of falling asleep while studying at Leavey.

Students have also been known to make multiple coffee runs throughout the day to keep going, like one student who had had three large cups of coffee from Starbucks.

Watch the video above for a look at midterm season at USC.
