Health Care Coverage Provided to Undocumented Immigrants

More undocumented immigrants will receive health care thanks to a non-profit. ATVN's Gabriel Cortes reports.

St. John’s Well Child and Family Center announced a partnership with eight consulates Monday to provide health care coverage for undocumented immigrants.

The eight consulates consist of Guatemala, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica and El Salvador.

The agreements they signed are under the My Health LA program, which is a no-cost health program for uninsured residents of Los Angeles County.

The press conference was held in the Guatemalan Consulate. Eight consul generals representing their consulates attended the press conference.

St. John’s Well Child and Family Center is a non-profit community health center, which serves patients through a network of 14 clinics in Central and South Los Angeles and Compton.
