USG Announces Members Of Executive Cabinet

The announcement was made Tuesday night following questions about the appointments.

Members of the 2015-2016 executive cabinet for the Undergraduate Student Government were announced Tuesday evening, following allegations of "favoritism" and "nepotism" on the anonymous social media app Yik Yak.

Earlier this week before members were publicly named, there was controversy over how the appointments were made

At that point, USG released a statement that said, "We have full faith that we selected the best group to work on an array of impactful projects this upcoming year."

Tuesday night, USG put out a longer statement on Facebook regarding the allegations on the application. The statement said that all members chosen had substantial and relevant experience for their respective positions.

On Monday, ATVN reported that some people were unhappy with the appointment process and expressed those concerns on Yik Yak.

In its Facebook statement, USG also stressed that "Yik Yak is not a credible source of information."

ATVN agrees with USG that the anonymous app is not a credible source of information and acknoweldges that the original report should have included other sources besides Yik Yak.
