Alex Goldsmith

Class of 2010, Bachelor's



Alex graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Communication & Journalism in 2010, with a BA in broadcast journalism. He worked as a sports director, an anchor, a reporter and a producer for USC’s student-produced newscast, Annenberg TV News. There he covered state budget cuts, immigration, USC football, athletic program sanctions.

Alex was the recipient of the 2010 Chick Hearn Memorial Scholarship in recognition for his work in broadcasting at USC. He has also interned for CNBC in New York, WTVF-TV in Nashville and 610 AM KNML in Albuquerque.

When he’s not reporting, Alex enjoys playing pickup sports, frisbee golf, an occasional night at the theatre, reading and attempting to cook. He is always looking for a good story to tell and welcomes tips sent to his e-mail.
