After spending a few years on the road as a general assignment reporter at KHBS/KHOG-TV (ABC) in Fayetteville, Arkansas and KUSA-TV (NBC) in Denver, Colorado, Kyle finally crossed over the "dark side" - he's currently working in public relations at PMK*BNC in Los Angeles. His focus is automotive PR (primary client is Audi of America), which takes him to auto shows and racetracks around the country and puts him in the driver's seat of some exceptionally fast vehicles. Previously, he worked at Zeno Group in Santa Monica and did public relations for Kia Motors.
While with KUSA-TV, Kyle reported on a huge range of topics, including state immigration reform, damaging wildfires, Tim Tebow and the Broncos and of course, winter weather. While working in Arkansas, Kyle reported on everything from crime to politics to Razorback football. He also won Arkansas Associated Press awards for his coverage of the 2009 Northwest Arkansas Ice Storm, the worst to hit the region in more than 100 years, and the 2010 election, in which he investigated campaign advertising claims made by former U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln. He reported live from the scene of two deadly EF3 tornadoes, one touching down in Mena, AR in 2009, and another practically destroying the town of Cincinnati, AR on New Years' Eve 2010.
Kyle is originally from sunny San Juan Capistrano, California. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Spanish. While in school, he reported, anchored, and produced for three years with Annenberg TV News, USC's award-winning, live nightly newscast. He was one of the first people on the scene when the Writers Guild of America began to strike in 2007 and was on the streets of Los Angeles when thousands poured out for the May Day Immigration March in 2008. His work for ATVN was nominated for a Hearst College Journalism award. While in college, he interviewed people such as Michael Phelps, George Lucas and Jay Leno. Kyle also interned for CNBC and KCBS/KCAL-TV in Los Angeles and KNSD-TV in San Diego.
