As of October 2012, I am now an Executive Producer at KNSD-TV (NBC 7 San Diego).
I worked at XETV FOX6 in San Diego as a producer for two and a half years before breaking for the peacock here in America’s Finest City.

Writing as much as possible and getting to see how all aspects of news work-- i.e. newsroom activity as well as studio production.
What are the top three skills journalism students should learn in college?:
Writing, news judgment, ability to multi-task.

Anchor, Producer, Technical Director, Playback, W/S/E.
How did ATVN prepare you for your career?:
Current events quizzes...’nuff said.
What is your advice to aspiring journalists?:
Eat, sleep and breathe news...be a junkie. And write as much as you can-- it will be your best asset regardless of being in front of or behind the camera.
What should graduates keep in mind when negotiating their first job?:
Know what you want, but be willing to give a few trade offs for being in the market that you want.
