A beach girl at heart, Sherene graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Journalism, earning bachelor’s degrees in Broadcast Journalism and International Relations and a Spanish minor. She spent part of her undergraduate career studying in Madrid, Spain and is fluent in Spanish and Farsi.
While at USC, Sherene reported, produced, and anchored news and weather for USC’s award-winning Annenberg TV News. There, she covered everything from Conrad Murray’s arraignment to California State University budget cuts to President Obama’s visit to Los Angeles.
Sherene has interned at Good Morning America, Dateline NBC, KTLA, and KEYT in Santa Barbara. She also wrote for the Daily Trojan and the Malibu Times.
While not on the job, Sherene enjoys spending time with friends and family, doing anything active, reading, and watching movies. And she loves meeting new people, so if you see her around, be sure to say hello.
