Emily Thornburg joined KRCG as a multimedia journalist in August 2015. She enjoys using all social media to tell a story.
Emily graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism. She anchored and reported for USC's student-run television station, Annenberg TV News. Emily enjoys covering every type of story. Some of the most memorable stories she covered were during the Ferguson protests in Los Angeles.She received an LA Press Club nomination for this coverage. Emily also interned for Dateline NBC and KTLA in Los Angeles.
Besides searching for a great story Emily enjoys reading and volunteering. When it's warm out you can find her soaking up some sun kayaking or fishing. She also loves cheering on the WVU Mountaineers and USC Trojans. After moving to Mid-Missouri you'll find her routing for the Mizzou Tigers too.
