Kate Flexter

Class of 2015, Bachelor's



Kate Flexter is a senior from Ohio at the University of Southern California double-majoring in Broadcast & Digital Journalism and Theater.

She has worked in the field and in the studio for ATVN as a Graphics Operator, a Web Writer, a Multimedia Journalist, and currently as a Reporter

In addition, Kate is the Senior Multimedia Editor for the Trojan Debate Squad and is currently producing a documentary for the team. She also loves photojournalism and trained at Julia Dean Studios, where she displayed her work.

 Kate spent the summer of 2013 abroad with USC’s International Communications Studies Program, visiting organizations like BBC, Radio Free Europe, and CNN in Paris, London, and Prague.

After going abroad, she fell in love with Europe and hopes to ultimately work as a Foreign Correspondent in France. In the meantime, she hopes to work as a Reporter in Southern California after graduation.

Outside of the newsroom, Kate is an avid runner and hiker. She also loves travelling and is slightly obsessed with Tom Petty.
