Tina Jensen

Class of 2010, Master's

Tina Jensen joined the FOX 13 team as an investigative reporter in June 2015.

Jensen's work has been recognized with awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, Radio and TV News Directors Association, and multiple regional honors.

She comes to FOX 13 from KRQE, the CBS affiliate in Albuquerque, where she reported extensively on the Department of Justice's investigation of the Albuquerque Police Department's use of force. Her reports on a former police chief's ties with Taser International led to state and city investigations and calls for reform. In 2014, her investigation into a charter school director's use of public funds led to an ongoing FBI investigation.

During her time in New Mexico, she was voted “Best Reporter” for Albuquerque Magazine's “Best of the City” issue.

She started her broadcast career in Boise, Idaho, where she was a reporter and fill-in anchor for the ABC and FOX affiliates. Before that, she worked at KABC in Los Angeles and as an intern for NBC Nightly News.

Her work has appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, Huffington Post, and the Long Beach Press-Telegram.

Jensen has a master's degree in journalism from the University of Southern California, where she also completed the Summer Institute at the USC Center on Public Diplomacy. She also has a bachelor's degree in communication from Concordia University.
