The defense called five witnesses Wednesday.

The defense for Dr. Conrad Murray called five witnesses Wednesday to testify about Murray's character, leaving the doctor in tears at one point after listening to a supportive witness.

Those called to the stand were composed of former patients, nurses and friends. Their testimonies aimed to depict how the doctor was not modivated by money but rather by his own compassion and care for his former patients.

Ruby Mosley, the last witness to take the stand, recalled how the doctor founded a clinic in a poor area of Houston in honor of his father.

"In his office, you did not see a sign when you walked in that [said] 'pay at the time of services rendered,' you did not see a sign that said 'present your I.D. or insurance card.' You saw the doctor first," Mosley said.

Mosley's testimony caused the physician's eyes to fill with tears and culminated a series of testimonies from other Murray supporters.

Two of the witnesses referred to Murray as the "best doctor" they had ever been to, and provided accounts detailing the special care and kindness with which they were treated.

Andrew Guest, 48, spoke about how the doctor had treated his pain with great skill and even said that Murray was the reason that he was alive.

Another witness and former patient, Gerry Causey, added to Guest's praise by calling Murray his "best friend."

The verbal agreement Jackson made with Murray was never finalized because the singer died before being able to sign it. Murray's attorneys are saying that Jackson gave himself a fatal dose of propofol when the physician left his hotel room.

The defense, however, is arguing that Murray gave the singer a fatal dosage of propofol and then spent nearly an hour tending to his own needs and failed to provide Jackson with the monitoring he needed.

The trial is expected to resume Thursday with a pair of medical experts tesitfying --  the final witnesses in Murray's defense.

Four gallons of propofol! That's enough to put the whole courtroom to sleep. This doctor is out of his f*****g mind or what? Notice how he remains eerily stoic and expressionless; he knows he screwed up. This doctor has betrayed the Hippocratic Oath; he is guilty as sin. However, Michael also had a huge responsibility in his own demise. Say no to drugs. The pharmaceutical and medicine industry are the biggest fraud.
Nearly 800 thousand people die every year in the USA from iatrogenic diseases (diseases caused by medical treatment - Physician-induced) As the Christ was the most famous victim of crucifixion Michael Jackson is the most famous victim of iatrogenic diseases (I'm not implying any parallelism or likeness between MJ and the Christ other than what is explicitly said in this comment, if you have a problem with that; it's your problem) - Also, say no to the numerous MJ' s exploitation out there. Joe Jackson is still pursuing to launch a line of perfumes with a professional crook.
