Crystal to Host Academy Awards

Comedian Billy Crystal announced on his Twitter page today that he will host the 2012 Academy Awards.
He tweeted, "Am doing the Oscars so the young woman in the pharmacy will stop asking my name when I pick up my prescriptions. Looking forward to the show."
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences confirmed his attachment to the show shortly after. The hosting job was up for grabs after Eddie Murphy backed out one day after disgraced producer Brett Ratner gave up his post.
This will be the tenth time that Crystal hosts the Oscars.
