USG 2012 Election Preview
USG election season has officially begun as candidates scattered color flyers along Trousdale Parkway Monday morning.
Many students like Asha Anderson, were surprised to see the sudden transition to campaigning on one of the busiest areas on campus. Besides the flashy posters, she hopes that this year will have candidates that will address the hours of the University eating establishments.
The positions open for this years' election include: President, Vice President, six spots as a Residential Senator, three positions as a Commuter Speaker, and a Greek Senator.
Campaigning spirit is in full swing, as candidates hope to gain winning votes when the polls open up on February 14th.
The new Trojan USG leaders will be announced by the end of the month.
