Anti-Bullying Conference Held in L.A.
Cyber-bullying was one of the most prominent areas of concern, according to experts and advocates who participated in Thursday's Anti-Bullying Practitioner's Conference.
The conference, hosted by the Los Angeles Human Relations Commission and the Anti Bullying Coalition, featured City Attorney Mike Feuer and U.S. Attorney Andre Birotte, Jr.
Cyber-bullying experts said social media has exacerbated bullying - and widened its reach. Through social media, bullying follows students home.
The conference comes days after two Florida girls were arrested after admitting to bullying 12-year-old Rebecca Ann Sedwick. Sedwick committed suicide last month.
