Ex-USC Head Coach Lane Kiffin to Appear on ESPN College Game Day
Former USC head coach Lane Kiffin will make his first media appearance since being fired from USC. Kiffin was released shortly after the Trojans embarrassing 61-42 loss to Arizona State. ESPN announced that Kiffin will make an appearance on ESPN's College Game giving a live exclusive interview with ESPN broadcaster Chris Fowler.
Kiffin has not spoken to the media nor tweeted since his release from USC. USC Athletic Director Pat Haden relieved Kiffin of his duties after the team started 3-2, which was the programs worst since 2002.
He last tweeted on Sept. 28 gearing up support for the Trojans and a worthy cause, "It's GameDay for the Trojans! As we prepare for our game help us Tackle Duchenne today. Follow @CoachToCureMD to join the team."
Kiffin took over for former USC head coach Pete Carroll, and went 28-15 with the Trojans bringing his overall coaching career record to 35-21. His best season with the Trojans came in 2011 when he led the team to a 10-2 season.
It is unclear how long the interview will last, or if Kiffin will go into details regarding USC's decision to name defensive line coach Ed Orgeron as his successor.
USC won't play on Saturday, as they host the Arizona Wildcats in a historic Thursday game at the Coliseum. Orgeron will make his debut as interim head coach, and looks to get the team's first Pac-12 win of the season.
The "Game Day" crew will be in Seattle on Saturday covering a Pac-12 showdown between Oregon and Washington.
