'No-Burn' Day Declared in L.A.

Due to increased levels of smog, residents in some Southern California neighborhoods are asked to not burn any wood until Wednesday.

Air quality officials declared Tuesday "no-burn" day in Los Angeles County due to dangerous levels of smog forecast by the South Coast Air Quality Management District.

Residents of Los Angeles, Orange County, and the Inland Empire are asked not to burn wood or manufactured fire logs in their fireplaces until after midnight Tuesday.

This is the 13th "no-burn" day since November of last year. If weather conditions remain stagnant, there may be more "no-burn" days before the season ends at the end of the month.

To find out if the area you live in is affected, you can visit the AQMD website for more information.
