Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist Shaun White Falls Short Of Gold

Two-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White fell short of winning his third gold medal at the Sochi Olympics.

Two-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White fell short of winning his third gold medal. White was the favorite in the snowboard half pipe and looked to make history during the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

Unfortunately, White finished fourth in the race and walked away empty handed. White failed to make history as no U.S. male has claimed three gold medals in the same event.

This is the first time since the sport was introduced to the Olympics 16 years ago that an American is not at the podium.

After today's events in Sochi, Norway leads the pack with 11 total Olympic medals. Canada has nine, while the Netherlands have eight. Both the U.S.A. and Russia have seven medals.
