Dodger Hosts Baseball Clinic For Jackie Robinson Day

More than 100 children from the Boys and Girls Club of Los Angeles participated in Tuesday's event.

Los Angeles kicked off the celebration of Jackie Robinson Day at Dodger Stadium Tuesday with a youth baseball clinic for more than 100 children from the Boys and Girls Club of Los Angeles.

Former Dodger players gathered to lead the activities and clinic. They stressed the importance of teaching young children about Robinson's legacy and carrying on his actions.

Jackie Robinson Day commemorates the 67th anniversary of Robinson's Major League debut. One student who is part of the Jackie Robinson Scholar Program said she hopes to continue Robinson's work and impact in her own life.
