Metro Urges Angelenos to Change Driving Habits
A life-size T. Rex was perched on the Metro Expo/Vermont Station platform on Wednesday as a way to encourage people to visit the Natural History Museum across the street and remind L.A. drivers how they can save money on gas.
Metro representatives enlisted Hunter, the T. Rex, to highlight how accessible L.A. is via public transportation.
Metro Deputy Executive Officer of Communications Warren Morse encouraged L.A. drivers to buy a 5 dollar Day Pass to avoid paying close to four dollars for a gallon for gas.
For those who prefer to drive, the Automobile Club of Southern California said drivers can save up to 2,000 dollars a year on gas by following smooth driving habits, like driving at or slightly below the speed limit.
