Toyota Recalls 6.4 Million Vehicles

Of the vehicles recalled, 1.8 million are in the United States.

Toyota recalled 6.4 million vehicles worldwide for various safety problems, including faulty airbags and engines.

The recall affects 27 models. Nearly 1.8 million vehicles recalled are in the U.S.

Toyota says no deaths or injuries have been reported.

This recall comes after faulty airbags in models of General Motors (GM) were believed to have caused 303 deaths in the United States.

At one point, Toyota and GM shared a factory in California. During that time, Toyota helped engineer the GM Pontiac Vibe, which is why the model is being recalled as well.
