USC Sand Volleyball Travels for AVCA Championships

The No. 1 Women of Troy gear up for postseason play with the program's first team title in sights.

The No. 1 USC sand volleyball team (22-1) will travel to Gulf Shores, Ala. tomorrow to kick off postseason play. In the program's second season, the Women of Troy are in search of their first team championship at the AVCA Collegiate Sand Volleyball National Championship.

Operating on a 21-match winning streak, USC receives a first-round bye in the double-elimination tournament. They await the winner of a Hawaii-Florida International matchup before starting their postseason campaign.

The top-seeded Women of Troy look to advance further than last year's team, which capped off its season as a national semifinalist. The Cardinal and Gold will take the court for a chance at its second-straight semifinal appearance at 10:00 a.m. PST.
