Former Trojan Wide Receiver Victor Blackwell Arrested
Former USC wide receiver Victor Blackwell was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of domestic violence.
DPS responded to a call at 6:21 pm at University Gateway Apartments from a student who said that "her boyfriend...also punched her several times in the face during an argument and threw a chair at her," according to the DPS report. The report says that the boyfriend "also smashed her laptop computer and cellular phone on the floor and punched several holes in a door when she retreated into her bedroom and closed it." According to the L.A. Times, the student said Blackwell was her boyfriend.
Blackwell was then arrested at 6:50, and was booked at Los Angeles Police Department's 77th Street Division. He could face felony charges. He has a court appearance set for next Friday, October 17th, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department website.
On Thursday, USC head coach Steve Sarkisian announced that Blackwell was taken off the roster on Monday. Blackwell last saw action in USC's season opener against Fresno State. He had three catches for 54 yards.
