USC Trojan Football Team Competes Against the U.S. Army

USC football is the first college to participate in the event.

Six players of the USC football team competed against a group of U.S. troops in Afghanistan in an hour of online gaming via a live overseas feed.  The game of choice was "Call of Duty."

The event marked a collaboration between USC Athletics and Pro vs. G.I. Joe, a non-profit organization that partners with professional sports teams to set up gaming opportunities with American troops serving domestically and abroad. The organization was started in 2007 by a husband and wife team, Greg and Addie Zinone, after Addie finished her service in combat.
