Women of Troy Win Back-to-Back

USC women's basketball ends a five-game losing streak with two wins over the weekend.

The USC women's basketball team (13-10, 5-7) captured back-to-back wins Friday and Sunday over Utah and Colorado, ending a five-game losing streak. In Friday's 73-54 victory over the Utes, the Women of Troy used a strong second-half performance to pull away behind 16 point performance by freshman guard McKenzie Calvert.

Finishing off the two game homestand at the Galen Center, USC welcomed the struggling Colorado Buffaloes (10-13, 3-9), who dropped four of their last five. Four different Women of Troy reached the double-digit mark for points in the 66-51 win, headlined by senior forward Kaneisha Horn's 15 point, seven rebound showing. USC also created 22 points off of turnovers, compared to Colorado's two.

The Women of Troy look to continue their winning ways, as they travel North to take on the No. 19 Stanford Cardinal Friday in Palo Alto, California at 6:00 p.m.
