Trojans Take on Tough Tests

USC baseball puts unblemished record on the line against top-ranked opponents.

The USC baseball team (12-0) continued its pursuit of perfection by capping off a three-game sweep on visiting Fordham Sunday with a 10-1 victory. In Friday's matchup with the Rams, the Trojans relied on a three run homerun by outfielder Reggie Southall to propel the squad to a 3-2 win, before a 4-3 triumph Saturday. Throughout the series, Southall led the team with six RBIs.

Still unranked despite an undefeated record, USC looks forward to a slue of challenging contenders over the week, beginning with a road matchup against No. 23 UC Santa Barbara Tuesday. After the fight with the Gauchos, the Trojans will welcome No. 2 Texas Christian University and No. 5 Vanderbilt to Dedeaux Field for back-to-back battles.
