No. 1 USC Tennis Departs for Desert

The Women of Troy head to Arizona for a clash of conference challengers.

The No. 1 USC women's tennis team (16-2, 5-0) seeks to continue its dominance in conference play as the squad travels to Arizona for back-to-back Mountain Pacific Sports Federation games. Coming off of a 7-0 road victory against the Washington Huskies, the Women of Troy explained that their endurance training will be pivotal for their trip to Arizona and adjusting to the change in altitude.

The Women of Troy earned the top spot in the national rankings last week for the first time in over a decade and though the team is excited to hold the title, they know that midway through the season the ranking is irrelevant and many of the players explained that their eyes are still set on earning that national championship. USC will take on Arizona in a Friday afternoon matinee in Tucson before heading North to Tempe to battle Arizona State Saturday at noon.
