1) WORK HARD
2) write well, and write conversationally
3) have confidence. if you don’t believe in yourself, who will!

What WASN’T I at ATVN?  I worked in sports and in news. I was a writer/shooter/editor, reporter, producer and yes, even a weather anchor. 

Pressure, working with several people, and being in a real life working newsroom. Many times, the environment at ATVN is more professional than in the professional world.

Do anything and everything. I worked at ATVN and KSCR, the campus radio station. I decided to get into radio, and now I’m back into digital media with the NFL.  Had I not done it at school, that avenue would’’ve closed. Try all the positions at ATVN, you won’t know what you like until you try it. 

Uh...you’re gonna be poor. The job hunt is going to suck.  And you’re NOT going to be a star right out of school. If you graduate and think somebody owes you something or that you’ve already paid your dues HA! I laugh at thee.
