Josanta Gray

Class of 2012, Bachelor's

Josanta Gray is a senior majoring in Broadcast and Digital Journalism and minoring in Consumer Behavior. She currently serves as a reporter and Wednesday News Anchor for ATVN. Previously, she served as a multimedia journalist, web producer, assignment desk coordinator, and studio camera operator.

Josanta recently spent a semester in London to learn about journalism from an international perspective. There she was able to learn how the British perceive the business, and their approaches to covering major news stories.

As an aspiring reporter, Josanta recently spent the summer interning in the Investigative Unit of CBS Evening News. Here, she produced content for the web, gathered research for stories, and conducted preliminary interviews.

In addition to ATVN, Josanta works for Intersections South LA, a community news website dedicated to covering South Los Angeles. As a way to give back to the community, Josanta helps facilitate a mentoring program that teaches media literacy to high school students.
