

Kayla Colin is a broadcast producer for WFMY-TV in Greensboro.
She graduated magna cum laude with a major in Broadcast and Digital Journalism and a minor in Communication Law and Media Policy.
She worked for eight semesters at ATVN, starting on the assignment desk. Once she got her first taste of life at ATVN, she was hooked and proceeded to work her way up as a studio camera operator, streambox operator, graphics artist, multimedia journalist, assistant and technical director, studio director, weather and news anchor, producer, reporter, multimedia director and, finally, as executive producer.
She interned for a year at KTLA for Rich DeMuro at the Tech Report where she helped research stories, went on shoots and wrote scripts. She also interned on the assignment desk for KNSD in San Diego and in the programming department for Clear Channel San Diego.
