Class of 2016, Bachelor's

  • Previous Media Experience:

    • This is my first job out of college and I am so excited to start this exciting career at WATE!
    • Before working at WATE, I interned at the Los Angeles Bureau for Fox News Channel and FOX 5 Local News in D.C.

    Personal information:

Fun Fact. I am the first girl to be born in my family in 100 years! When I was at USC (the real USC–sorry SEC fans), I was a Spirit Leader for 2 football seasons. I stood on the sidelines every game to lead stadium wide cheers and chants for the Trojans. I’ve never been to an SEC football game so I can not wait to cheer on the Vols this season! My dream is to own a pug someday.

    Outside Interests/Hobbies:

I love finding new coffee shops every time I go to a new place. If you know me well enough, I LOVE  coffee. I am notorious for bringing the same white ceramic coffee mug into work every morning. So, please tweet me suggestions on places I should go to! I also enjoying traveling, hanging out with friends, playing with Pugs, and going to cycling classes.

What You Enjoy About Local News:

I love being a voice for people in our community who may not have one. I believe local news reporters have a tremendous and amazing ability to foster positive change. It is very rewarding to see something happen as a result of something I reported. I also get an adrenaline rush every time I walk into the newsroom. I love the fast-paced environment and love knowing the next work day is completely different from the last.

    Media Awards and Honors:

    •     Best Reporting in Youth Media, Los Angeles Press Club – 2015
