Director of "Avatar," James Cameron and his producing partner John Landau at Lightstorm Entertainment will be creative consultants on the project and will work with Imagineers on the "Avatar" experience.

The attraction is set to debut at Disney's Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort.

According to the Disney website, Disney's Animal Kingdom is the best place for the "Avatar" attraction because it will "give guests the opportunity to experience the worlds of animals and nature – real and mythical – in new ways."

"Avatar" is the highest grossing movie of all time, and may follow in the footsteps of successful themed rides and attractions such as "Indiana Jones" and "Star Wars."

Cameron has two more "Avatar" sequels in the works.

Construction on the "Avatar" attractions is expected to begin in 2013.
