L.A. Triathlon Set for Sunday

Triathlon course to cause street closures from Venice Beach to downtown.

 

The 12th annual Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Triathlon will take place on Sunday.

The race will start off in Venice Beach and end at L.A Live in downtown.

The event will start at 7:15 a.m. at Venice Beach  and the award ceremony will take place at 12:30 p.m. at L.A. Live.

The first section of the race will include swiming in Venice Beach, followed by a bike ride to downtown Los Angeles. The triathlon will end with a run to the L.A. Live Nokia Plaza.

There will be professionals and amateur triathletes from 26 different states as well as from 11 different countries.

Street closures are expected from Venice Beach to downtown.
