Apple Launches iOS 5 and iCloud

The new Apple software will include hundreds of new features.

Apple, Inc. launched iOS 5, the newest operating system Wednesday morning. The system now includes iCloud, a revamped notifications system, iMessage, Newsstand and 200+ features.

iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad2, iPad and 3rd and 4th generations of the iPod touch can install the new system. The newest phone iPhone4S will have the iOS 5 already downloaded.

In order to update to iOS 5, users need to download the latest version of iTunes 10.5. To make a makeup, connect the device to a computer, open iTunes, select the device and press Sync.

Macworld suggests that users make a backup of Apple devices before starting the update.

iCloud is also available today. This news system automatically and securely stores content so its available on users' iPhones, iPads, iPod touches, Macs or PCs without syncing. It gives users access to apps, photos and music on all compatable Apple devices. It also keeps email, contacts and calendars up to date across al devices.
